How take-home pay is calculated in Kenya
- NSSF is 6% of pay up to KES 108,000 a month from February 2026 (maximum KES 6,480).
- SHIF (2.75%) and the affordable housing levy (1.5%) are deducted, and both reduce taxable pay along with NSSF.
- PAYE: 10% up to KES 24,000 a month, 25% to 32,333, 30% to 500,000, 32.5% to 800,000 and 35% above, minus KES 2,400 personal relief.
